Research Interests

Dr. Hana’s research focuses on integrating medical, social sciences, and technology to develop sustainable health interventions and foster self-sustaining communities. Her work bridges research with practice, translating theoretical concepts into health promotion programs. Over the past four years, she has reached out to more than 15 communities, implementing programs that promote health and sustainability.

 

Background

Dr. Hana Chen is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Health Sciences, with over seven years of experience in epidemiology, health promotion and sustainable community development. She received her Medical Degree (MD) in 2015 and a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in 2021, both with Dean’s List Awards. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health UK.
