Dean’s Message
Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Health Sciences
Hi and welcome to the Faculty of Humanities and Health Sciences! Let me tell you a little about our Faculty, the newest at Curtin Malaysia.
Despite being a relative newcomer compared to our more established faculties, our Faculty has its inherent strengths, making our programs increasingly popular with new students. This includes our innovative education approaches, diverse courses, and our study of Borneo indigenous communities and cultures.
We have undergraduate courses in communications (with specialisations in Corporate Screen Communication, Journalism, Web Media, Marketing and Public Relations), Construction Management, Psychological Science, and Health, Safety and Environment. At postgraduate level, we have courses in Public Health, and Project Management; and Higher Degree in Research.
We also have considerable strengths in research, focusing on 3 key areas – Media & Communications, Sustainable Built Environment, and Social Inclusivity & Wellbeing. This includes Media Studies; Social Media; Indigenous, Cultural & Heritage Studies; Education & Human Capital Development; and Health Sciences & Wellbeing – all of which are very relevant to today’s society.
So, if any of those fields I have just mentioned fascinate you, join us, and let us work together to create a better tomorrow!
Professor Dr. Vincent Lee Chieng Chen
